API Usage Terms

Welcome to the Accent Cloud Accounting API. By accessing or using our API, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These API Usage Terms govern the use of Accent's private API for integrating third-party applications or internal systems with the Accent Cloud Accounting platform.

 

1. Eligibility and Access

  • The Accent API is private and access-controlled. Businesses must apply for access and receive written approval from Accent.

  • Access will be granted based on the nature of the integration, the legitimacy of the business, and technical readiness.

  • Accent reserves the right to approve or deny API access at its sole discretion.

 

2. Permitted Use

You are permitted to use the API solely to:

  • Import transactions and purchase records

  • Send invoice data to the accounting system

  • Sync or register vendor and customer information

Use of the API must be limited to the purposes explicitly approved during your access application.

 

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the API for malicious, illegal, or harmful purposes

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the API or Accent’s platform

  • Use the API in a way that overloads or disrupts Accent’s systems

  • Share your API credentials with unauthorized third parties

  • Use the API to replicate or create a competing service

 

4. Data Responsibility & Security

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and security of the data you send through the API.

  • Sensitive information, including customer and vendor data, must be encrypted in transit using HTTPS.

  • API keys and credentials must be stored securely and not exposed in client-side applications.

  • If a security breach is suspected or detected, you must notify Accent immediately.

 

5. Rate Limits & Performance

  • Accent may impose rate limits to ensure system stability and performance.

  • Excessive usage beyond the allowed threshold may result in temporary suspension of access.

 

6. Monitoring & Auditing

  • Accent reserves the right to monitor API activity to ensure compliance.

  • We may request audit logs or technical details regarding your integration if suspicious or unusual activity is detected.

 

7. Changes to the API

  • Accent may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the API at any time with or without prior notice.

  • You are responsible for keeping your integration up to date with any changes made to the API.

 

8. Termination

Accent reserves the right to suspend or revoke API access if:

  • Terms are violated

  • Improper use is detected

  • The business relationship is terminated

  • The integration is inactive for an extended period

 

9. Limitation of Liability

Accent shall not be held liable for:

  • Data loss or corruption resulting from improper API use

  • Downtime or service interruptions caused by third-party integrations

  • Indirect or consequential damages resulting from API usage
